The Wicklow Story
Our Founder, Bill Murray, had a long career in financial services, but when he wasn’t working, he spent a lot of time traveling. He was always in search of the perfect place to unwind and find balance between nature and the lifestyle of a bustling city. He found that place in a small county about an hour from Dublin, Ireland – Wicklow County. A region of Ireland with rolling hills, mountains, forests, and idyllic towns. Wicklow County spoke to him. After several trips back to the area, he decided that Wicklow was no longer just a place to visit—it was a goal. It was where he saw himself living out his retirement with his family.
When considering the name for his new company, Bill wanted to make sure the name kept the team focused on our number one priority: Achieving our clients’ goals. Through the sale of his clients’ businesses, Bill realized that he would be helping clients find their own “Wicklow.”
